The first morning we went to Universal studios and spent the whole day on the rides - which got a bit repetitive by the end of the day but still fun. We managed to have our concert on the first night rained out - apparently this was the third day of rain for the entire year. The concert was great but got cut short because of the rain. The hollywood bowl is an awesome venue with great sound due to being the shape of an ampitheatre. The walk to our hotel wasn't so great it took us nearly 2 hours and we still landed up going the wrong way and were completely soaked by the time we got back to the hotel. The second day we spent walking along the Hollywood walk of fame and having dinner at a French cafe before going to the concert - this time it didn't rain and was amazing - very awesome concert. We were suppose to go to magic mountain but it got cancelled at the last minute - chris was not a happy chappy - as they had had a 15 rig pile up on the interstate which is the only way to get to six flags !!
LAS VEGAS - THE STRIP AND THE GRAND CANYON
First day we arrived in Las Vegas we were whipped away to a timeshare event on the strip - and got free tickets to a show and dinner plus a 2 night cruise in the Bahamas. That night we had dinner at the Luxor which was very expensive - thank goodness for the vouchers ! Then went to the show called Fantasy - which really wasnt that good - should have paid for a better one - oh well next time.

The next morning we were off to the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Canyon is amazing we had this gorgeous day and could see for miles. We took a flight from just outside Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. The flight took us over the Hoover dam and Lake Mead and on to the Canyon :) We could still see the construction being done on the new bridge over the dam - so much for thinking we get old stuff on discovery channel !
Once we arrived at the Grand Canyon we took a helicoptor down through the canyon to the bottom by the Colorado river. We then took a boat ride down the Colorado River with a native but it was really the shortest trip in history and not very good. Oh well the helicopter ride back out made up for it! We then went for lunch at one of the outlooks but it was an incredibly short lunch as the guy told us the wrong time to return so we rushed everything to be waiting at the plane - not happy but it was still an amazing day !
Back to Las Vegas and we hit the town and walked the whole 10 miles or so of the strip all the way down to The Stratosphere from the Luxor. We saw the musical fountains outside The Bellagio and the Volcano exploding. Didn't make the pirates at treasure island though. I did one of the rides at the Stratosphere but it took a bit of convincing on Chris' behalf :) We then took the monorail back to Paris and walked through to the Strip. The Hotels in vegas are amazing they are so well done everything is done to the nth degree ! I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would :)
